The everyday problem
A finding is not resolved simply because someone has identified it. The team receiving a revenue integrity issue needs enough context to investigate and a clear distinction between a suggested correction and an approved change. Otherwise, useful findings become another unstructured backlog.
A practical approach
Document the reason for the handoff, the supporting source, and the decision required. Identify who may make changes and who verifies the result. Preserve the original issue alongside its resolution so that recurring patterns can be reviewed later.
Try this with your team
Map one fictional issue from discovery to closure. Mark every point where a decision, approval, or system update is required and name the responsible role.
